Amentum | Repairs to 25010 DFAC and Other Various Buildings on Andersen Air Force Base


PFM was subcontracted by Amentum to lead the extensive repair and restoration efforts for several buildings at Andersen Air Force Base, which sustained significant damage from Typhoon Mawar in May 2023.


At Building 25010 (Dining Facility), our team successfully restored the 18,500-square-foot roof, including the installation of new gutters, roof drains, insulation, and sealants, all in full compliance with UFC and UFGS standards. The project also involved repairing 12,500 linear feet of both exterior and interior partition walls and replacing 18,000 square feet of damaged flooring. Additionally, we replaced damaged ceiling tiles throughout the facility and completed extensive HVAC system repairs, including fixing ductwork and installing two new outdoor HVAC housing covers. We also installed new exhaust hoods and duct backflow systems to improve ventilation. Both the interior and exterior of the building were repainted to enhance durability and aesthetics, and a thorough site cleanup, including waste removal and proper disposal, was conducted.


At Building 61210 (PRTC Satellite Fire Station), our team replaced four storm-damaged roll-up doors and installed storm bracing for added protection. We also assessed, repaired, and certified the lips, repaired and replaced gutters and downspouts, and evaluated and repaired the solar-powered water heater. Further work included repairing the garage dehumidifier, restoring a fixed ladder, and repairing lights under the overhang as well as a pole-mounted light in the parking garage.We replaced a damaged exhaust fan and gravity louver, along with the exterior building sign, restoring both visibility and functionality at the NDI shop.


We assessed, repaired, and replaced storm-damaged metal shingles and flashing, at the Lox Cart Storage Shed building, ensuring the building's structural integrity was maintained following the typhoon. The Missile Maintenance Building had extensive repairs which were carried out, including the replacement of a damaged roof, installation of three new roll-up doors with additional bracing, replacement of eight personnel doors, repair of the roof access ladder, and replacement of the roof hatch for secure and safe access.
